Local team finish third in Open

[FENCING] The Thai squad finished third overall in the Thailand Open Fencing Championships yesterday, while the brilliant South Korean team won the top spot.
After four days of competition Thai fencers won a total of 13 medals - two gold, one silver and 10 bronze. The first Thai gold medal came from world No 84 Wiradech Kothny, who had a convincing victory over South Korea's Kim Jung-min in the men's sabre event. The second gold medal for the Thai team came when the edged out South Korean in the men's sabre team event. South Korea won 12 medals - six gold, five silver and one bronze - while Singapore were the runners-up with two gold, three silver and two bronze.
