Juling's condition worsens

Songkhla -The condition of Juling Pangamoon, a teacher who was beaten into coma in Narathiwat last May, has worsens on Friday after her blood pressure dropped and her lung became infected, doctors announced.
"Latest evaluation on her showed that her general condition has not improve as she is still unconscious and has to depend on respiratory system," the statement from the Prince of Songkhla Hospital said.The team is giving her antibiotic as part of the treatment for her inflammatory lung, it said. The doctors continue to monitor the responses from her brain and make necessary adjustment during this crucial period. The statement said a team of psychiatrists has consulted with Juling's parents who remained to be at her bedside ever since she was admitted into the hospital following the brutal beating that shocked the entire nation. The hospital gives great importance to her parents' mental condition during this troubling time and continue to provide regular counselling to them, the statement read. Juling, an elementary schoolteacher, 24, has been in a coma since she and a colleague were held hostage by an angry mob in a remote Narathiwat village where they were posted as elementary school teachers.
