Reasons to 'go natural'

lLPG-fuelled taxis can be modified to NGVs for free by PTT.

lA subsidy of Bt20,000 is available for owners who want to convert their petrol-fuelled taxis to NGVs.

lExcise tax on new cars with natural gas-compatible engines has been reduced.

lThe price of NGV fuel has been fixed for at least two years while the cooking gas subsidy has been reduced.

lPTT has converted 1,400 public buses to NGVs free of charge and plans to buy another 2,000 NGV buses.

lPeople who want their cars converted to NGVs will receive a Bt10,000 subsidy per vehicle.

lPTT will increase the number of NGV-equipped service stations from less than 100 to 200 within the year and to 740 within five years.
