Prommin calls for charges
Prommin Lertsuridej, secretary-general to the prime minister, called yesterday for three senior Democrat Party officials to be tried for allegedly tarnishing his reputation - by wrongfully linking him to the alleged funding of small parties to contest the April 2 election.
Decision soon on poll date
The Election Commission will decide soon whether to shift the date for the new election back to October 29, as suggested by the government, EC secretary-general Ekachai Warunprapa said yesterday.
Move against Democrats
Thai Rak Thai legal adviser Kuthep Saikrajang yesterday submitted additional evidence to back charges that the Democrat Party had tried to overthrow democratic rule.
