New EC charges filed

Democrat Party executive Thaworn Senniam yesterday filed additional charges for the criminal suit against the Election Commission over its "mismanagement" of the April 2 poll. The additional charges include unfair scheduling of the election date and failing to ensure voters' privacy at polling booths, as required by the Constitution. To back up the charges, Thaworn cited the Constitution Court verdict issued on Monday.



Unshackled Samak pours scorn on PAD

After a long period of silence, Bangkok Senator Samak Sundaravej has spoken out against the People's Alliance for Democracy's latest criticism of Thaksin Shinawatra and the Election Commission (EC).



Decree needs amending: court

The Constitution Court has said a new royal decree must be enacted for a new election to take place in about two months, court secretary general Paiboon Waraha-paitoon said yesterday.
