Nitiphum top-vote earner in Bangkok

Nittiphum Nawarat has become the top-vote earner in the Bangkok senatorial election Wednesday after the ballot counting was done Thursday morning.
Nitiphum, who got 257,420 votes, beated former Bangkok governor Samak Sundaravej who came second with 240,312 votes.
A total of 2,235,275 of 4,150,339 eligible voters cast vote. A total of 54,820 bllots became invalid while a total of 135,131 voters cast "no-vote" votes.
