Peninsula launches spas

The Peninsula Hotels has announced the launch of new spas on its Asian properties.
The programme also includes the major renovation at two of its US hotel spas. The first spa will be launched at the Peninsula Hong Kong in May, fusing traditional Chinese elements. The spa will offer exclusive views of Victoria Harbour. In December, The Peninsula Bangkok will offer a full service spa overlooking the Chao Phya River in a traditional Thai colonial-style building. The brand-new Peninsula Tokyo will open in September 2007, overlooking the gardens of the Imperial Palace, with the largest hotel rooms in the city. In the United States, The Peninsula Beverly Hills and The Peninsula Chicago will be renovated and relaunch their spas this year. - The Nation
Quality rubber The Agricultural Regulatory Office reported yesterday that 2,910 farmers who plant rubber seedlings had already been registered with the Agriculture and Cooperatives Ministry to encourage the Kingdom's rubber quality development. Anan Suwannrat, director of the office, said the farmers controlled 29,700 rai of rubber plantations. They will be allowed to grow rubber trees for commercial purposes and guarantee high quality. The ministry's plan is to develop the country's rubber quality and increase farmers' income. The plan will also serve both the domestic and export market's rising demand for rubber. - The Nation.
Financial fair Thanachart Bank is co-hosting a "Car and Financial Festival" in Pattaya this weekend. The bank's financial services will be presented alongside new vehicles from several car dealers.
