PAD should stop pressing EC : TRT

Members of Thai Rak Thai Party's working group on political analysis on Friday called on the People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) to stop pressuring the Election Commission (EC) and the Administrative Court as they might be violating the law.

Peerapan Palusuk said PAD's besieging of the EC's headquarters and searching every car going in and out of the office could be a violation of people's rights. Pressuring the Administrative Court to force the EC to urgently conclude cases related to the election could also be a violation of the Constitution in that it could be seen as trying to influence the EC through an intermediary.

Kudep Saikrachang, a former Thai Rak Thai MP, said district office directors in Bangkok as well as police officers and the EC should take down posters quoting PAD leaders as they were illegal and nobody was taking responsibility for them.
