Stock Exchange of Thailand president Kittiratt Na Ranong yesterday said that he would soon submit his resignation after he learned that Thai Beverage a few days earlier had filed an initial public offering application with the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
Kittiratt earlier vowed to resign as head of the bourse if Thai Beverage failed to list on the SET. He did not say when he would deliver his resignation letter to the stock exchange's board.
- The Bank of Thailand intervened in the foreign exchange market on Monday to limit the strength of the baht, BOT governor Pridiyathorn Devakula said yesterday.
- Fitch Ratings (Thailand) has assigned a final National rating of "AAA (tha)" to Siam Panich SPV 1's forthcoming issues of up to Bt2.5 billion tranche-A debentures and up to Bt2.5 billion tranche-b debentures.
