Kbank high-interest account
Kasikornbank is offering interest of 4.5 per cent per annum for its special eight-month time-deposit accounts.
Investors have to deposit a minimum Bt1,000 per account, the bank's president Prasarn Trairatvorakul said in a statement yesterday. Accounts can be opened from today until April 21, he said, adding that Kasikornbank expected to attract deposits of Bt30 billion with the special programme. If depositors withdraw money from the account within the first three months, they will get no interest. Withdrawals made after three months will attract interest equivalent to that paid for savings accounts. The bank will pay 4.5 per cent per annum for the amount left in the account until maturity, he said.
