KRUNG THAI BANK's board approved a dividend payment for 2005 operations.
The bank will pay shareholders holding preferred and ordinary shares at a rate of Bt0.6545 and Bt0.50 per share, respectively, on March 31. THAI RAYON signed a US$7.5-million (Bt310 million) agreement with the government of Laos for subscription to 30-per-cent equity in a joint venture company called Birla Lao Pulp & Plantations Ltd. The company will run eucalyptus tree plantations for a pulp production project in Laos.
