Royal guest list unveiled for King's anniversary

Monarchs and their spouses from 14 countries will attend celebrations marking His Majesty the King's 60th year on the throne this year. His Majesty is the world's longest-reigning monarch.
The royal rulers of Brunei, Swaziland, Monaco, Japan, Lesotho, Nepal, Sweden, Qatar, Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Luxembourg, Malaysia and Cambodia will come to Thailand to participate in the celebrations, Government Spokesman Surapong Suebwonglee said yesterday. Monarchs from 12 countries said they would dispatch delegates to the celebrations. These are the Netherlands, Liechtenstein, Bhutan, Denmark, the United Kingdom, Norway, Spain, Belgium, the United Arab Emirates, Tonga, Saudi Arabia and Morocco.Surapong denied speculation the UK's Queen Elizabeth II had decided not to come to Thailand because of the political crisis.
