BMA panel seeks more time

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration's fact-finding committee has postponed concluding its investigation into 16 road-construction projects in the capital for a further seven days.

The committee chaired by the BMA inspector Prapon Wongvichien sent a letter to Bangkok Governor Apirak Kosayodhin, asking for permission to take another week. The letter said that the investigation was not yet finished because there was still many documents to consider.

"The committee has only five members. We want to do everything carefully," Prapon said, adding that the investigation report was only half-finished.

Prapon refused to reveal any details in the report, although the committee has said it found some clues in the bidding process.
