Siam City Cement launches magazine

Siam City Cement Plc, manufacturer of "Eagle" cement, yesterday launched its "Bird's. Eye. View. (BEV)" magazine.
BEV magazine will target interior design fanatics, providing them with decorating ideas. The company bills the magazine as a medium for educating and inspiring homeowners to improve their abodes. Leo Mittelholser, executive chairman of Siam City Cement Plc, said that the launch of BEV was in line with the company's strategy to project a modern image. BEV magazine was developed from an internal company publication and that it distributed to clients, architects, engineers and state officials throughout the country, said Chantana Sukumanont, executive vice president of marketing and sales. The new periodical is a medium between Siam City Cement and consumers who are interested in home construction and decorative arts. The internal publication has a readership of 15,000. The newsstand price is Bt100. Siam City Cement does not expect any profit from the sale of the magazine, rather it hopes to help drum up sales by providing its readership with home decor ideas.
