Push mail eliminates the need for dial-up servers

The BlackBerry 8700g makes it very convenient for executives to check e-mails on the go. It uses push-mail technology allowing mails to be sent and received without having to dial up to e-mail servers.
Advanced Info Service (AIS) has launched Blackberry push-mail services in Thailand with monthly rates of Bt499 for five megabytes of data sent and received and Bt1,950 for unlimited use. A BlackBerry owner has to first create an account for push-mail with the AIS BlackBerry website and specify e-mail accounts to be linked to the push-mail account. The push-mail account can retrieve mail from the linked accounts and beam them to registered BlackBerry users directly without having to make a dial-up networking connection. E-mails could also be sent constantly from the BlackBerry through the AIS account. The BlackBerry 8700g features a full QWERTY keyboard to be tapped by the thumbs. Its screen is very bright with a 320 x 240 pixel resolution. It is powered by an Intel XScale processor 312 MHz and is equipped with 64 megabytes of memory. AIS retails it for Bt27,900.
