IN BRIEF
Prachai buys time

The Central Administrative Court accepted a petition by Prachai Leopairatana asking the court to override the decision of the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) to remove him from the Thai Petrochemical Industry Plc (TPI)'s board.
Prachai filed the petition on January 19, and the court accepted his case on March 7. The court's acceptance of the filing forced the SEC to suspend its order and wait for a ruling, Prachai said. In January, the SEC ordered Prachai removed from the board of TPI, TPI Polene Plc and Bangkok Union Insurance Plc following Article 239 of SEC law. - The Nation
